The right time for a second Rockster

For Danish construction company Roerslevgaard Entreprenør ApS, upgrading their machinery wasn’t just a decision—it was a natural next step. After a decade of successful crushing with their Rockster R1100d, the company has proudly added a second machine to their fleet, once again placing their trust in Rockster’s proven performance.

Powered by a robust Caterpillar 9.3L Stage V engine with 380 HP, the crusher delivers optimal performance through its signature diesel-hydrostatic drive.

A Decade of Growth and Partnership

Based on the island of Fyn, about 40 km east of Odense, Roerslevgaard Entreprenør ApS has established itself as a key player in the local construction scene. Founded by Lars Christiansen as a one-man operation, the company grew steadily with the help of his brother and co-owner Peter. Today, it employs up to 20 people, yet remains committed to staying small and agile.

“We’ve grown over the years, but we’ve deliberately stayed a small company,” says Lars Christiansen. “This allows us to stay closely connected to our projects and maintain personal relationships with our customers.”

Their relationship with Rockster dates back to March 2015, when they first put the R1100d (then called the R1100DS) into operation. Ten years later, with a track record of outstanding performance, investing in a second Rockster was an easy choice.

Why Rockster again?

“We’ve been extremely satisfied with the throughput and, most importantly, the quality of the final product,” says Christiansen. “We put a high value on offering our customers top-quality aggregate, and the R1100d meets our standards perfectly. On top of that, our long-standing partnership with Meldgaard Handel A/S, Rockster’s distributor in Denmark, aligns with our values and work ethic.”

Next-Generation Performance

The latest R1100d isn’t just a repeat—it’s an upgrade. Powered by a robust Caterpillar 9.3L Stage V engine with 380 HP, the crusher delivers optimal performance through its signature diesel-hydrostatic drive. Thanks to a hydrostatic pump, the rotor operates independently of the engine and can be finely adjusted from 0 to 850 rpm, giving operators complete control over material processing and final product specifications. The engine itself stays in the optimum rpm range.

The updated R1100d also features a heavier rotor for increased torque and throughput, an intuitive touchscreen display for precise adjustment of the upper and lower crushing gaps, and Rockster’s double-apron crushing system, which boosts capacity and reduces oversize.

Smart Features for Seamless Operation

Several thoughtful improvements make the new R1100d stand out:

  • A hydraulically adjustable magnetic separator that prevents blockages and belt damage, now included as a standard feature.
  • An onboard air blower that separates lightweight non-mineral materials—like plastic, textile, paper, Styrofoam, Ytong, wood, or cardboard—especially useful when recycling construction and demolition waste.
  • A hydraulically lowerable screenbox for fast, easy screen changes that makes overall operation efficient and productive.

A Class of its own

Whether tackling asphalt, concrete, C&D recycling, or natural stone, the R1100d delivers impressive power in the compact 38-ton class. Thanks to Rockster’s innovative Duplex System, the machine can even transform from an impact crusher to a jaw crusher by swapping out the crushing chamber—making it one of the most versatile crushers on the market.

For Roerslevgaard Entreprenør ApS, the addition of a second Rockster marks not just an equipment upgrade, but a reaffirmation of a decade-long partnership built on performance, reliability, and shared values.
